Pharmacist SupportChloramphenicol Eye Drops are used to treat acute bacterial conjunctivitis (red eye). They usually clear infection within 5 days by stopping the growth of bacteria, allowing your body's immune system to overcome the infection.
Usage:
- Apply one drop to the affected eye(s) every 2 hours for the first 2 days
- Then reduce frequency as directed
- Store in the fridge
Active Ingredient: Chloramphenicol 0.5% w/v.
Other Ingredients: Borax, boric acid, phenylmercuric nitrate, purified water.
Apply one drop to the affected eye(s) every 2 hours during waking hours for the first 48 hours. After 48 hours, reduce to one drop 4 times a day. Continue treatment for 5 days. Complete the course even if symptoms improve.
